Pherson here has the ability to talk to animals, which means he can:
- hear their voices in his head
- tell them things and they can tell him things
- be very persuasive
And this counts for anything that could be considered an animal: bugs, birds, reptiles, mammals, fish. (You can check his character info for more details)

1) If your character keeps some sort of animal or pet, I would really appreciate you letting me know if he can talk to them! Anything like the divulgence of secrets or asking them to do things I will be sure to hit you up and plot with you first.

2) If your character is some kind of animal or part animal, can transform into an animal, I'd like to know that too! As far as imports are concerned, his powers are wonky and don't always work, so you can choose the degree of influence he has on your character all the way up to "none" - and of course, plotting with you is a thing I will do.

NOTE that the wonkyness with imports also applies to animals/companions your pc brings with them.

As a second note, his powers don't usually work on humans, so if you feel your character just has animal themed powers or is a bit furry, don't worry about it. The less actual animal, the less likely they'll be affected.

3) does your character have similar powers? ie, can talk to or control animals (even if it's just one type)? This ALSO makes his power wonky.

You can answer however you like but I have a handy-dandy thing for you:

I can also answer any questions or concerns, no problem. Thank you!

Character name: Stephen Strange
Does your character have animal-based powers (& how so)? He can make short-term illusions and I know for a fact he's created butterflies for the network before. Strange has also bewitched small animals (pigeons and rats) in the City. This requires a certain kind of spell, so it's not something he'd use on he spur of the moment, but it has been known to happen for bigger plots? Idk if that counts.
Does your character keep animal(s)? Not unless you count Zoidberg.
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? Everything's cool?
Anything else of note? The animals Strange conjures are illusions, so, in other words, completely fake. I'm not sure Pherson would be able to talk to/control them, but uhh. However you want to play that is cool with me. Stephen's magic is screwy, especially in the City, so there might be potential for something fun there? But yeah, pretty much up to you.

Does your character keep animal(s)? Yep. Cat named Fido.
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? Go for it.

Anything else of note?
Goku himself is the Monkey King. Not sure how/if his powers would do anything with that. Since he's kind of a monkey, but really a unique being.

Character name: Aphrodite
Does your character have animal-based powers (& how so)? She has the ability to create anything, but it will only last for 30 minutes. So it's entirely possible that in the future she will create some form of animal.
Does your character keep animal(s)? No.
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? Free reign with any created animals. Just note that if he takes control of them, she can vanish them from existence.

Does your character keep animal(s)? Yes. Raccoons
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? I'd prefer to talk it out? But he's free to interact with them however.
Anything else of note? Her raccoons love her, in the way the mice from Cinderella love her (willing to face death so she can have a nice dress, that kind of thing). So just something to keep in mind.

Character name: Hank McCoy
Does your character have animal-based powers (& how so)? Hank has an animalistic physiology, rendering him far more feline than most humans. It has been implied to affect his brain processes to some degree.
Does your character keep animal(s)? Not really.
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? Somewhere between just talking and mildly persuasive, though he'd be alert enough to any unfamiliar psychic invasion that he would try his best to resist it in most cases. There's definite room for more with plotting!

Does your character keep animal(s)? No.
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? I'm okay with them working on her completely when she's in morph if anything drastic is talked about beforehand!
Anything else of note? When she's in morph there's a human brain and an animal brain, so I think she would probably be able to force herself out of morph if he controlled the animal brain? should it ever come up we can figure it out.

Anything else of note? Gaster's a house cat and her rabbits tend to be... house rabbits/show rabbits, so it might not be easy to get a hold of them. All of them love Zee to pieces, but Gaster has abandonment issues :(

Does your character keep animal(s)? she lives in a swamp where most living creatures cower under her dominance, is that like keeping animals??
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? I'd be happy with between decently persuasive and ALL THE WAY BABY, depending on the situation!

How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? Character name: Tom Riddle
Does your character have animal-based powers (& how so)? Yes! He speaks Parseltongue, aka snake language. He's also talented at making animals in general do what he wants with his magic. So he's particularly good at controlling snakes, because of the Parseltongue.
oh yes, and he can conjure animals with his magic, like canaries and snakes, but he very rarely does.
Does your character keep animal(s)? Yes! He has a pet viper named Letalis who he keeps with him in his MAC apartment (and sometimes while he's out and about when the weather is warm), and two pet basilisks named Scylla and Charybdis that he's currently keeping somewhere outside the city.
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? somewhere between "just talking" and "mildly persuasive" with a side of "with plotting as the plot demands"
Anything else of note? Tom knows there are people in the city other than him who could possibly talk to his snakes, so he has warned them off of listening to anyone other than him, especially the basilisks. He also takes very good care of all of them, so they're all extremely loyal to him. Any animals he might conjure ever are free game, but he could easily just Vanish them again and they wouldn't last very long anyway.

Can I say All of the Above, depending on the thread in question.
Anything else of note?
Mike's power is "Jack of All Trades" meaning that when he's confronted with something he's never tried before I roll a die. If he succeeds, he's an expert in that one thing for about an hour, and then...goes back to normal.

This...could be very interesting.

Does your character have animal-based powers (& how so)? Nope
Does your character keep animal(s)? At present, she has: a dog, a cat, an owl that will probably wind up given to Cobblepot at some point, and a psychic blue fox creature called a weeping mouse (import animal, obviously)
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? Varies, so hit me up.
Anything else of note? ... Her powers come from a dragon that is also a god that is also a star. Also, she can communicate fluently with monsters, some of which would probably fall under the animal header but not universally so i have no idea what to do with that here.

Character name: Yuma
Does your character have animal-based powers (& how so)? Not technically, but sometimes he fuses animals and objects together to get other things, or sometimes fuses animals to himself for the sake of getting animal traits.
Does your character keep animal(s)? One cockatoo, two cats, a duel monster tiger-dragon that was formerly a third cat, a pod of living plush whales that were formerly ladybugs.
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? have fun but talk to me // xepi

Does your character have animal-based powers (& how so)? Yes! She can speak with kitties :3
Does your character keep animal(s)? Yes, lots of cats, some permanent and some that sort of just come and go and hang out with her.
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? He's definitely free to talk to her cats, and they are open to persuasion, however I'd like to assume her cats are "loyal" enough that they won't be spilling any secret identity/Catwoman related info about her or turning on her in general.
Anything else of note? I was actually thinking about the plot you're starting, while all the... murderers are vermin, I was wondering if what's going on wuold be something Selina could "hear about" what's going on from stray cats or what have you. If that makes sense. Do you think animals even communicate cross species??

Does your character have animal-based powers (& how so)? Can speak with animals, a number of his spells specifically affect animals (Such as calm animals and hold animal), he also regularly takes on the form of an orange tomcat.
Does your character keep animal(s)? He doesn't keep any animals himself.
How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? When he's in his feline form I'd be fine with the just talking part, perhaps mistaking him for a normal stray? Wouldn't likely effect his full dragon form or human form though.
Anything else of note?
He's been talking to the animals around the city and around the park as a way of getting to know the place better. If there's anything you'd like to do with that?
dragonlordbight: (Default)

[personal profile] dragonlordbight 2012-07-31 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
That could be interesting for him to hear.

As to what the animals could gossip about, perhaps how they treat the animals they speak with/quirky things animals might pick up. For instance he would have spoken to some of the birds in his true form, so some could speak of a large scary lizard who was nice to them, the man who gave them food for questions or a particularly curious feline, though without linking them. Hardly limited to that though, just a few random ideas. Certainly open to ideas.

How comfortable are you with Pherson's powers working (ie, "not at all", "just talking", "mildly persuasive", "all the way, baby", "only with plotting")? Let's go with 'mildly persuasive'. Canon is unhelpful on just WHAT Teekl's status is and if he even can be separated from Klarion for too long. Plus, Klarion will probably hex Pherson into oblivion if he does anything to his cat. :c
